We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Works Readiness Lead to join our Network Events & Disruption team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This position plays a critical role in coordinating Projects works readiness activities across a diverse portfolio of major projects, ensuring safe planning, effective coordination and ready for delivery within a live operational environment. About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Network Events and Disruptions, this role will:

  • Lead and continuously improve the Works Readiness Framework, including governance processes, reporting, templates and business rules
  • Coordinate and monitor works readiness activities across a portfolio of capital projects to ensure all readiness requirements are completed on time
  • Build strong partnerships across Project Delivery, Operations, Engineering, Safety, Maintenance and Project Management teams to support successful project outcomes
  • Monitor, track and report on readiness status, risks, issues and dependencies, providing regular updates to project teams and senior leaders
  • Support safe and efficient project delivery by ensuring permits, approvals, access arrangements, isolations and other readiness requirements are in place prior to works commencing

 

About You:

This role will suit an experienced project coordination, works planning, access management or operational readiness professional who thrives in a complex infrastructure or transport environment.  Ideally, you’ll present with:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering or supporting infrastructure projects within a live rail, light rail or transport operations environment
  • Strong understanding of works planning, access management, operational readiness and stakeholder coordination
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and influence stakeholder activities across multiple business areas
  • Experience preparing management reports, dashboards and readiness status updates
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Transport Operations or a related discipline. Certification with PRINCE2 or PMP will be highly regarded
