Trade Assistant (Tram Maintainer)

Role Purpose

 

At Yarra Trams, we’re proud to operate a network that’s iconic, sustainable, and deeply connected to the people of Melbourne. We’re currently seeking a Workshop Assistant to support our maintenance teams in keeping our trams safe, reliable, and ready to serve the city.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in transport and maintenance. If you’re hands-on, safety-minded, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain Rail Safety Worker accreditation
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
  • Understanding of safe work practices, including manual handling and PPE
  • Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, and contribute to a team environment
