Store Person New Preston

Role Purpose


At Yarra Trams, we strive to provide world-class transport services to our passengers. In this role, you will support our logistics operations by performing all duties of a Store Officer, ensuring the efficient movement and delivery of goods to satellite depots while prioritising safety. Based at the main distribution centre in Preston, you will work within the warehouse environment, operate mobile plant equipment, and transport inventory using Supply Chain vehicles as required by the logistics leadership team.

 


Responsibilities

 

  • Loading / unloading of vehicles
  • Parts receipting
  • Parts despatch
  • Parts put away
  • Parts picking and issuing, includes KITS and prioritisation activity
  • Delivery to depots
  • Cycle counting
  • Processing transactions within Maximo

 


Qualifications    

 

  • Hold a current Victorian drivers licence (Mandatory)
  • Hold a current forklift licence (Mandatory)
  • Working from heights accredited (Desired)Skills

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Minimum 1 year of logistics & warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of OH&S and environmental practices
  • Ability to work independently and follow processes
  • Strong multitasking, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with warehouse management systems
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
