Solution Architect (Integration)

About this opportunity

 

Yarra Trams requires a Solution Architect on a two-year Fixed Term Contract to design, document and maintain the Yarra Trams Operational Control and Management Systems  (OCMS) Integration Architectures. Reporting to the Manager Strategy and Relationships this role will:

 

  • Design, document and maintain the Yarra Trams OCMS Integration Architectures under the guidance of senior architects. Working and influencing solution designs within a project team..
  • Enable the efficiency, effectiveness and technological innovation of Yarra Trams business by providing integrated OCMS solutions that maximise business benefits and minimise costs.
  • Work collaboratively with OCMS asset custodians, internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop technology integration solutions and patterns in support of contractual obligations and to mitigate security risk.

 

About you

 

Ideally you will have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineer or related field
  • 2-3 years of success in consultative/complex technical deployment projects performing designs involving systems integration and API design
  • 2-3 years of architectural experience using Microsoft Azure Integratation Services or solutions using enterprise bus services, REST/SOAP, Pub/Sub (MQTT), SFTP or similar methods of secure data exchange.
  • Knowledge of JSON, XML, CSV, and other data formats. Knowledge of NeTEx and SIRI data standards is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of Azure data lake, data bricks and data factory (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working in agile or waterfall-based delivery teams
  • Previous experience with control systems is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous experience with Archimate reference models and Orbus iServer
