Rolling Stock Maintenance Operations Interface Lead

Role Purpose

 

At Yarra Trams, our mission is to deliver world-class transport services to our passengers. In this role, you will contribute to this goal by:

 

  • Leading and supporting workstreams targeting uplift in processes, ways-of-working, and collaboration at the interfaces between Rolling Stock maintenance and other Yarra Trams functions, as well as rolling stock operations to support greater efficiency in conducting maintenance, improved process governance, improved contributions to overall business deliverables, and ongoing contractual compliance.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities as they relate to maintenance efficiency, process governance and contractual compliance, and developing proposed solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of KPIs, reporting dashboards, and business information tools to support RS functions and RS internal and external reporting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identification of opportunities for uplift occurring at maintenance interfaces or with impacts across several RS and YT functions, based on consultation with various teams and function or analysis of performance data and business records.
  • Development of proposed improvements into deliverable updates to tools, processes, ways-of-working
  • Delivery and implementation of accepted improvement proposals.
  • Facilitation of uplift of planning activities to support contract alignment and improved efficiency.
  • Ongoing input to RS reporting workstreams and effective use of business information tools.
  • Support ongoing best practice regarding process governance and compliance.
  • Provide support as needed to ad-hoc RS maintenance workstreams.
  • Interfacing with key functions with Yarra Trams to improve the relationship and increase efficiencies.

 

Skills

  • Qualifications in Engineering or technical discipline
  • Experience in the Rail Industry
  • Ability to manage and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Capability in data analysis and data management, analysis and reporting
  • Skill in time and risk management
  • Experience with contractual compliance requirements
