Project Manager, Asset Information Requirements

About the Role


As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality documentation and analysis to support the AIRS Program. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, define processes, and support the implementation of asset data improvements in Maximo.
Your work will directly contribute to Yarra Trams’ contractual obligations under the Tram Franchise Agreement (Clause 19.6), ensuring compliance with DTP AIRS standards and enabling smarter asset management.

 

Key Responsibilities
•    • Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather business and technical requirements across areas such as Asset Condition Assessments, Supportability & System Performance Analysis, Regulatory Analysis, and Master Data Collection (NTS-009).
•    • Review and maintain the project issue register, translating issues into actionable requirements.
•    • Collaborate with Maximo Functional Support to define business rules for asset classes and maintenance planning.
•    • Develop and update business processes, procedures, work instructions, and task cards.
•    • Create conceptual models to support data quality improvements.
•    • Partner with the Master Data Management Team to refine reference materials and reporting standards.
•    • Support UAT testing for Maximo Master Data implementation.
•    • Assist the Program Manager with change management activities and impact assessments.
•    • Prepare and deliver handover documentation.

 

What You’ll Bring
•    • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
•    • Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and process design.
•    • Familiarity with BABOK and PMBOK frameworks.
•    • Strong documentation skills, ideally with experience in Maximo or similar enterprise systems.
•    • Experience in public transport or asset-intensive environments is highly regarded.
