Power Platform Developer and SharePoint Administrator

About this opportunity

 

Yarra Trams requires a Power Platform Developer and SharePoint Administrator to partner with business stakeholders to identify manual, inefficient, or high-risk processes and transform them into secure, scalable digital solutions. Reporting to the Team Manager, Corporate Applications Support, OCMS this role will also oversees the governance, performance, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE). In addition, the role will:

 

  • Proactively manage the organisation’s SharePoint Online environment to ensure availability, compliance, information governance, and optimal use of storage and collaboration capabilities.
  • Ensure all solutions align with organisational data governance, security policies, and architectural standards.
  • Create reusable components, templates, and certified connectors to streamline future development.
  • Conduct solution testing, documentation, deployment, and post implementation support.
  • Maintain and enhance the Power Platform Centre of Excellence, including monitoring, reporting, and governance frameworks.
  • Curate and maintain certified datasets and approved data sources for citizen developers.
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to business users to build simple, compliant Power Apps and automations.
  • Oversee the entire SharePoint Online environment, ensuring availability, performance, and adherence to governance policies.
  • Manage site provisioning, permissions, information architecture, retention policies, and storage optimisation.

 

About you

 

Ideally you will have:

 

  • Experience with Power Platform CoE Starter Kit or similar governance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Teams integration.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell), API integration, or SQL.
  • Certifications such as PL‑100, PL‑200, PL‑400 or MS-700
  • Strong experience developing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse business processes and design effective digital solutions and system architectures.
  • Experience administering and governing SharePoint Online environments.
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and data governance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience supporting and enabling citizen developers and business users.
  • Strong documentation, investigative, research, and analytical skills, with a systems-based approach to problem solving.
  • Proven customer and stakeholder engagement skills, including proactive issue resolution and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Planning and project management skills, including managing activities, timelines, and resource loading.
  • Exposure to Agile or iterative delivery environments.
  • Product management experience highly desirable.
