O.C.M.S. Project Manager
About this opportunity
Yarra Trams requires an OCMS Project Manager on a 2-year fixed-term contract to deliver IT/OT projects as part of the OCMS function for Yarra Trams’ MR5 contract by applying efficient and effective project management methodology, communication, organisation and delivery. Reporting to the Team Lead, Program Management this role will:
- Partner with OCMS and Business stakeholders to manage project plans, deliverables and resource requirements working with delivery teams and vendors.
- Align delivery of business-applications IT projects to the OCMS project delivery framework.
- Plan and deliver projects within defined budget, schedule, and quality targets.
- Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all requirements are gathered and analysed, and that expectations are managed.
- Ensure that all activities and responsibilities of the designated project meet relevant standards and are aligned to OCMS strategy.
- Communicating and consulting effectively across functions.
- Provide timely reports on projects delivery.
- Effectively plan and budget to ensure projects are delivered within scope, to standards and on budget.
About you
Ideally you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or significant proven experience, relevant to this discipline
- Project Management certification (PMBoK, RegPM, Prince2) or formal training equivalent
- At least 6 years of project management experience in ICT/OT domain.
- Experience in delivering medium-to-large scale business applications related projects using structured methodologies (Business applications are different from standard End User applications using the likes of Microsoft OneDrive or Microsoft Teams).
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in managing technical specialists, business analysts and managing vendors to contracts.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodology and demonstrated expertise in applying sound project management practices and principles to projects.
- Experience in managing stakeholder and user relationships in an operationally demanding environment.
- Project experience in sourcing, commissioning and rolling out IT applications projects.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills;
- Knowledge of different Project Management Methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile as well as project scheduling tools.
- Experience in the resolution of project roadblocks and issues.
- Experience in ICT project delivery in local public transport and/or transport and logistics organisations (preferred).
