Manager, Compliance

Melbourne’s tram network is iconic. It’s big, it’s complex, and it’s the heartbeat of the city. We’re looking for a Contract and Regulatory Compliance Manager who can make it even better.

 

 

Your mission:

The Contract and Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and managing Yarra Trams’ compliance obligations, specifically the contractual obligations included in the Franchise Agreement, as well as regulatory and legislative compliance. 

 


What you’ll do:
✔ Act as the key point of contact for contractual compliance matters with the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP)  

✔ Oversee and manage YT’s contractual reporting process including the collation of information and preparation of reports on offer commitments and other deliverables under the Franchise Agreement.

✔ Management of correspondence process between DTP and YT, including management of correspondence register and ad hoc meetings relating to Franchise management including the Governance Groups

✔ Ensure transparency requirements are met throughout the business, including in relation to asset management and data systems and sub-contract management 

✔ Oversee the Legislative Compliance Procedure, including receipt, registration, and assessment of legislative alerts, and management of the Register of Change in Law. 
✔ Facilitate training and awareness programs to elevate understanding of compliance requirements across the business. 

 

 

What you'll bring:
•    Tertiary qualifications within a Business/Commerce and or Law related discipline 
•    Previous contract experience within transport and/or legal industry (preferred)
•    Previous experience in managing large scale, complex infrastructure and or franchise contracts, ideally with a focus on services 
•    Demonstrated experience in leading, influencing and managing executive stakeholders and senior leadership 
•    Demonstrated experience in change management, process improvement and system reform
•    Excellent interpersonal skills involving a track record of successful relationship management
