Role Purpose

At Yarra Trams, our mission is to deliver world-class transport services to our passengers. In this role as Innovation Project Manager, you will contribute to this goal by:

• Responsible for the delivery of varied innovation projects
• Responsible for the management and successful completion of cross-functional activities that lead to the delivery of innovation initiatives
• Providing project management and coordination throughout the project delivery lifecycle
• Building relationships with key stakeholders to assist the achievement of project objectives

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Innovation portfolio through collaboratively working with internal & external partners
• Lead and co-ordinate activities and stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives and wider rollouts
• Support key stakeholders on the development of the long-term vision for the project to secure an enduring positive reputation for the project outcomes
• Integrate safety management and engineering change management procedures into project plans
• Lead the project management input to ensure work quality is maintained at the expected standard
• Represent Yarra Trams’ interests in communication and negotiation with public authorities and other stakeholders to ensure infrastructure and operational requirements are fulfilled

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience in the engineering or transport environment (highly desirable)
• Experience in coordinating changes in accordance with an approved change management system
• Ability to integrate project activities across all disciplines in a multi-functional organisation to manage interdependencies and effects on achieving project objectives
• Experience in identifying and managing risks associated with delivery of innovation projects
• Understanding of project management processes in line with PMBOK
• Confidence and flexibility to accept, embrace and initiate change and work under pressure  in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to inspire support and empower others to achieve project outcomes
