About the role:
Reporting into our Technical Services Manager this role will suit a experience technical engineer who bridges the gap between complex infrastructure cloud operations and reliable day-to-day operations
- Act as the primary administrator for the Office 365 suite, with deep focus on Microsoft Teams and OneDrive governance
- Manage Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including Enterprise Applications, SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, and identity governance.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize a comprehensive Broadcom VMware VCF (Cloud Foundation) infrastructure, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Servers
- Maintain the health, security, and replication of core Windows Server environments, including Active Directory (AD) and Group Policies.
- Manage infrastructure life-cycle services: File servers, Network Policy Server (NPS), Certificate Authority (PKI), IIS web servers, and VPN gateways.
- Administer the Microsoft Defender suite to protect the enterprise footprint (Defender for Servers, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for Office 365 for advanced email filtering).
About You:
This role will suit an a technically proficient individual who can present with:
- 5 yrs plus experience in a Cloud engineer role in a complex Cloud and On Prem Server environment
- Expert knowledge of and experience in the maintenance of Windows servers and operating systems
- Virtualization: Deep, hands-on technical knowledge of VMware VCF, vCenter, NSX-T, and Aria Operations.
- Cloud Architecture: Proven track record of managing complex Microsoft 365, Exchange Hybrid, and Entra ID environments.
- Networking & Security: Strong grasp of foundational networking (routing, switching, load balancing via NetScaler) and cybersecurity principles (endpoint protection, email security, and web filtering).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting methodology ("root-cause mindset"), excellent documentation skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members.
