Electrician, PXR Tram Maintainer

We’re looking for a skilled Rolling Stock Passenger Experience (PX) Maintenance Technician to carry out electrical and presentation maintenance across our fleet. This hands-on role supports the delivery of safe, clean, and reliable trams for all Victorians.

Your new role

 

As a PX Maintenance Technician, you’ll:

  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on tram systems including lighting, CCTV, PA systems, destination boards, and passenger information displays
  • Carry out presentation tasks such as graffiti removal, seat exchange, and window polishing
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical components and systems
  • Conduct inspections across depots and document all work in line with safety and quality standards
  • Support reporting, documentation, and coordination with supervisors and the PX regime team
  • Champion safety and environmental standards across all maintenance sites

 

What you’ll bring

 

You’re a qualified tradesperson with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to passenger safety and comfort. You’ll also have:

  • A completed apprenticeship in a relevant trade
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to obtain/hold Rail Safety Worker accreditation
  • Experience working in operational environments with tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset
