This is your opportunity to shape the future of safety across our network. You’ll own the development and delivery of our Safety Management System (SMS), champion a proactive safety culture, and ensure we exceed every standard, every time.

What you’ll do:

Champion and drive the vision for safety and embed it across the organisation.
Lead the development and implementation of a world-class SMS.
Drive compliance with Rail Safety National Law and industry best practice.
Build strong partnerships with regulators, industry bodies, and internal teams.
Champion Just Culture investigations and continuous improvement.
Deliver safety training that empowers every employee and contractor.
Analyse safety data and trends to inform strategy and innovation.
Represent Yarra Trams at safety forums and industry events.

What you bring:

Proven leadership in health, safety, and sustainability.
Expertise in OHS, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to inspire teams and influence at all levels.
