Director, Learning and Organisational Development

About the Role:
As the Director, Learning & Organisational Development, you will set the strategic direction for how we build capability, strengthen leadership, and shape culture across the organisation. Through innovative thinking and strong partnership with senior leaders, you’ll influence how we prepare our workforce for the future from technical training and regulatory compliance to enterprise wide leadership programs and culture initiatives.
Your work will directly contribute to a high performance, values driven organisation that keeps Melbourne moving.
In this role, you will:
• Lead the multi year Learning & OD strategy aligned to organisational priorities
• Drive cultural transformation and embed a strong, connected, learning oriented culture
• Design and deliver enterprise leadership programs and organisational capability initiatives
• Oversee talent management, succession planning and career pathway frameworks
• Provide governance for operational, technical and leadership training, including LMS optimisation
• Partner with executives to influence decisions that shape long term workforce capability
• Use data and insights to evaluate impact and guide strategic decision making
• Champion future skills, emerging technologies, and workforce transformation initiatives
About You:
You’re an experienced and visionary Learning & Organisational Development leader who blends strategy with execution. You thrive in complex and fast paced environments and bring strong expertise in learning, leadership development, organisational psychology, and culture transformation.
You will bring:
• Deep expertise in OD, learning, leadership development and enterprise capability building
• Experience influencing senior leaders and delivering enterprise wide change
• Advanced coaching, facilitation and communication skills
• Strong analytics mindset, using data to drive decisions and measure impact
• Experience with learning systems (SuccessFactors LMS or similar)
• A forward thinking view of workforce strategy, emerging trends and future skills
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology or a related discipline
Certifications in tools such as MBTI, DiSC, LSI or 360 degree assessments (highly regarded)
