Join Us as Our Next Rollingstock Collisions Manager

Are you an experienced leader with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high‑quality asset repairs? We’re looking for an RS Collisions Manager to take charge of managing and coordinating collision‑related activities across our Rolling Stock function. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring tram collision repairs are planned effectively, delivered on time, and supported by robust documentation that maximises insurance recoveries and supports operational availability.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of our fleet—while working collaboratively with internal teams, insurers and external repair partners.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and maintaining an accurate, up‑to‑date collision register in line with contractual requirements.
  • Developing, coordinating and monitoring major collision repair plans to support fleet restoration and operational readiness.
  • Preparing clear, detailed repair scopes, costings and insurance quotes for both internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Working closely with the Claims team to support insurance recovery processes through timely documentation and technical justification.
  • Liaising with internal departments, workshops and external repairers to ensure parts, resources and repair packages are aligned with planned work.
  • Coordinating depot-based collision activities, including inspections, assessments and repair preparation.
  • Monitoring repair progress, identifying risks early and implementing corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.

What You’ll Bring

  • A trade or academic qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience leading a multi‑functional team or operational function.
  • Strong understanding of tram or rolling stock structural repair methodologies.
  • Experience working with quality systems, continuous improvement processes and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience operating in a unionised environment with knowledge of industrial relations requirements.
  • Ability to manage budgets, prepare costings and deliver reporting with accuracy and confidence.
