Area Manager, Authorised Officers

About this opportunity

 

Yarra Tram requires an Area Manager, Authorised Officers to lead a large team across two Authorised Officer depots, ensuring strong performance, consistency and accountability in delivery. Reporting to the Head of Authorised Officers this role will be:

 

  • Providing senior operational and people leadership across two Authorised Officer depots, ensuring strong performance, consistency and accountability in delivery.
  • Translating organisational strategy into high-performing, data-led operational outcomes that improve Customer Experience Index (CXI) and Passenger Experience Regime (PXR) results, fare compliance, safety and customer experience.
  • Driving continuous improvement in deployment, processes, training and capability, ensuring Authorised Officers are equipped, supported and deployed to deliver the best outcomes for passengers and the business.
  • Acting as a critical leadership interface between the Head of Authorised Officers and Authorised Officer Supervisors, setting clear expectations and standards for performance, behaviour and culture.

 

About you

 

Ideally you will have

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or a related discipline and/or significant relevant leadership experience.
  • Proven senior leadership experience managing large frontline, operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver performance outcomes aligned to CXI, PXR and operational KPIs.
  • Strong capability in data analysis and translating insights into operational action.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Transport Act, ticketing system and enforcement environment.
  • Sound understanding of industrial relations, safety, wellbeing and people management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Current driver’s licence (preferred).
