Advisor, Asset Management Systems

Role Purpose

 


At Yarra Trams, our mission is to deliver world-class transport services to our passengers. In this role, you will contribute to this goal by:

  • Supporting and participating in the continuous improvement of the maturity of the Yarra Trams Asset Management System based on the GFMAM/IAM maturity guide;
  • Review and develop required documentation (processes, plans, strategies) to ensure the Asset Management System remains compliant to the ISO 55001 Standard, and meets the requirements of the organisation;
  • provide expertise and advice to asset managers, project managers, and others within the business on the discipline of asset management, system documentation, and best practice methodologies.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, document, and maintain the Asset Management System and associated documents for the whole organisation.
  • Liaise with document owners of interrelated documents on a regular basis to ensure those documents are fit for purpose for the Asset Management System.
  • Identify areas of improvements in the maturity of the Asset Management System as per the GFMAM subject areas, with the objective of improving the maturity rating on the IAM Maturity Rating Scale, including adoption of applicable elements of the IAM 10 Box Model.
  • Manage aspects of organisational change to embed system improvements within the organisation.
  • Coordinate, and manage the yearly external ISO 55001 certification audits, including project planning, conducting preparation sessions for auditees, and participation in the on-site audits.
  • Drive the alignment of the Asset Management System to ISO55001/GFMAM for other functions, by conducting workshops with stakeholders and delivering internal training to management and practitioners.
  • Support and provide asset management related expertise and advice to asset and project functions on projects, initiatives, and improvement activities.
  • Manage the process of identification and implementation of continuous improvement actions for the System in consultation with various stakeholders.

 

 

 

Skills/Experience

 

  • Qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline at a tertiary or higher level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset management and reliability concepts.
  • Knowledge and detailed understanding of the ISO 55001 Standard.
  • Knowledge of the GFMAM Subject Areas and the IAM Maturity Rating Scale.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with IAM’s 6 Box Model and/or 10 Box Model implementation.
  • Experience in development of strategic plans, maintenance plans, process documentation etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OH&S legislative requirements and individual duty of care.
  • Experience in implementing significant change within the workplace and organising a diverse variety of activities.
  • Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organisation.
