TECHNICAL TRAINER

We're on the lookout for a passionate, motivated individual ready to engage in every aspect of the learning journey, capable of aiding a varied, multicultural workforce.

This role presents an excellent chance for a seasoned Training Officer to enhance the proficiency of our maintenance team. Under the supervision of the Manager Training, Reporting and Admin  responsibilities include, however are not limited to: 

Reporting to the Manager Training, Reporting and Admin  the role specifically involves: 
 
•    Assisting in the development of technical training programs (assess status, assist with prioritisation and program development)
•    Developing technical training packages and assessments to ensure a competent maintenance workforce
•    Delivering training packages and assessments in classrooms and workshops to determine competence
•    Identifying skills gaps and work with the team to provide feedback and ensure continuous improvement


About You


To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
 
•    Certificate IV Training and Assessment (current)
•    Demonstrated experience in a workshop environment in electrical,  or mechanical trade will be highly regarded but not mandatory
•    Demonstrated experience in creating & delivering training packages, training plans and assessments
•    Demonstrated experience of collaborating with technical SMEs to produce training materials
•    Knowledge and understanding of training needs analysis and evaluation processes
•    High attention to detail, particularly in relation to maintaining training records
•    Strong focus on service delivery, good time management skills, ability to work semi autonomously whilst ensuring safe working practices
•    Sound understanding and application of adult learning principles
•    Willingness to work from multiple locations, depending on business needs and training demands
•    Able to comply with PPE Requirements in a Rolling Stock environment
