HR Business Partner

About this opportunity


We are looking for a passionate, experienced and outcome focused HR professional to partner with a diverse client group to provide expert HR and ER support and advice. This Business Partner role will report to the Manager ,Human Resources and will form part of the HR Business Partnering team.

 


About the role

 

 

  • Enhance the capability & effectiveness of people leaders. This includes coaching managers to promptly manage people issues as they arise and to have honest conversations with their teams
  • Support managers with the implementation of change management processes as a result of business strategies and decisions
  • Support ER/IR matters. This includes delivering efficient and consistent case management support and involves working closely with multiple internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure timely outcomes whilst managing organisational risk and following prescribed processes
  • Ensure adherence to Yarra Trams’ people management policies, standards, beliefs or values with a safety-first approach
  • Support the delivery of the annual people cycle activities, including performance, talent and succession management processes
  • Use data and insights to identify people related trends and proactively recommend and support the implementation of fit for purpose solutions
  • You may be required to travel to different Yarra Tram sites across metropolitan Melbourne, as required
  • Work collaboratively with the broader HR team 


About you

 

 

  • Strong generalist HR background
  • Experience in formal presentation/facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian employment law and working with Enterprise Agreements
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound evidence-based decisions, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Track record in successfully delivering HR solutions
  • Demonstrated Employee Relations experience including managing union relationships and enterprise agreement interpretation and supporting formal processes, including disciplinary processes
  • Experience gained in a fast paced operational environment (ideal but not mandatory)
  • Experience in supporting a diverse and multi site client group
