As the operator of Yarra Trams, we bring our international expertise to Melbourne to ensure we deliver safer, more reliable passenger services and performance, while increasing the value of the tram network for Melburnians and the thousands of visitors to our city every day.
To deliver on these exciting new challenges, Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced Network Performance Advisor to drive performance improvement of the tram network through data analysis and visualisation.
 

What the role entails
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Network Performance Advisor to assist with business reporting requirements of our Franchise Agreement.
Reporting to the Manager, Network Performance, the role involves: 

  • Analysing performance to identify trends and key drivers and proposing improvement actions/projects;
  • Providing intelligence and recommendations for improvement in performance tram services to enable continuous improvement;
  • Visualisation of Performance sessions (including coordination and preparation of the visualisation room, management of meeting times and presentation times, recording of key issues and actions, presenting on key areas of accountability);
  • Preparing Director / Executive Director briefings on operational performance;
  • Engaging and negotiating with Department of Transport (DoT) while developing and maintaining a good working relationship.

 

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, analytics or related field; 
  • Strong analytics knowledge, Data visualisation and Business Intelligence knowledge;
  • Proven ability to develop strategic and tactical correlations between contract, external environment, and tram operations;
  • Ability to liaise with all level of the organisation and with external bodies;
  • Strong communication (written, oral) and reporting skills;
  • A high level of competency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
