To deliver on these exciting new challenges, Yarra Trams is looking for a Change Management advisor to assist managers with the appropriate processes to be followed to facilitate the management of change to Yarra Trams rail operations, particuarly with reference to changes to Network Rules and being responsible for ensuring compliance. 

What the role entails:

  • changes are fully identified and described in the context of Yarra Trams’ railway operations;
  • affected parties are identified and, if practicable, consulted;
  • the roles and responsibilities of Yarra Trams’ rail safety workers and employees are clearly specified with respect to the change;
  • Yarra Trams’ rail safety workers and employees are fully informed and trained to understand and deal with the proposed change;
  • the relevant requirements under the Rail Safety National Law are observed in relation to any risks associated with the proposed change; 


What you will need for this role:

  • at the minimum, degree level, and preferably post-graduate, a qualification in engineering with a focus on rail, systems and safety;
  • a minimum 5 years in a similar change management role in rail or another highly regulated fields such as aviation, mining, oil & gas;, rail safe working and safety within a rail or similar environment;
  • extensive experience in investigating rail safety incidents and conducting rail safety audits;
  • an ability to manage difficult and complex tasks within tight timeframes;
  • demonstratable experience in establishing and maintaining compliance with legislation, standards or a similar discipline;
