To deliver on these exciting new challenges, Yarra Trams is looking for an experienced  Assurance and Investigations advisor to Maintain the accuracy, validity, efficiency and effectiveness of the Yarra Trams Incident Investigation Process for compliance with National Rail Safety Law, any other legislation, regulations, and company requirements to minimise the risk of injury to Yarra Trams employees, passengers and contractors and the risk of asset and infrastructure damage.

 

What the role entails:

  • Conduct and support Lead Investigators with incident investigations, identification of corrective actions and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Coordinate and undertake investigation quality assurance other assurance related activities to ensure Incident Investigation Process has been followed and appropriate root causes, contributing factors and controls have been identified.
  • Coordinate the internal investigation program including allocation and assurance of the Investigation process and reporting as required by legislation or other requirements.
  • Support lead investigators in the effective use of safety investigations tools and techniques and co-ordinate investigator training across functions.
  • Design, develop and implement the internal investigation program, including investigation monitoring and annual review of investigation processes.

 

 

What you will need for this role:

  • Proven ability in implementing and managing a companywide safety investigation and/or audit program.
  • Experience in undertaking safety investigations and/or audits in compliance with legislation, standards or other given criteria.
  • Experience in investigation, analysis and methodologies with a preference for familiarity with ICAM approach.
  • Possess a sound knowledge of relevant Operational Rules and Procedures, Codes of Practice, Policies and Practices.
  • Must be skilled in leading and working collaboratively on a team.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and deliver complex tasks proficiently within tight time frames.
