Administrator Track and Points Maintenance Planning

To support this, Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced Administrator to plan corrective and preventative maintenance works for our Track and Points department.

 

What the role entails
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator to ensure track assets have the highest quality maintenance service in order to efficiently deliver to the State, passengers and community expectations.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Track Maintenance Planning, the role involves: 

  • Assisting in the delivery of planned preventative maintenance works to reduce reactive maintenance to a minimum;
  • Analysing maintenance reports for faults and undertaking or recommending necessary repair and maintenance works;
  • Preparing reports and contributing to the development of the ‘Technical Maintenance Plan Tram Track’;
  • Preparing project cost estimates;
  • Ensuring availability and effective use of resources for delivering work schedules and projects;
  • Liaising with external authorities including municipal councils, VicRoads, traders, contractors, consultants, members of the public and other emergency services as required.

 

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience and ability in rail track maintenance in a planning environment is desirable;
  • Demonstrable experience in project management, programming and planning;
  • Willingness to be available on continuous call;
  • Willingness to carryout works at various times of the day as required, in addition to shift work (weekends, public holidays, etc.);
  • Highly developed negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrable experience in all facets of track and facilities management;
  • Ability to prepare reports and carry out investigations;
  • Competence in the use of computers and various software applications including Maximo, Business Objects, project management, database and spread sheet software;
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
